Volunteer Ministries

Participate at the level that's right for you

We welcome people to participate actively in our worship services, encouraging everyone to share their time and talents to create a richer and more rewarding worship time for all. Whether you enjoy arranging flowers or working with computers, reading scripture or helping people feel welcome and comfortable, there is a Volunteer Ministry here for you. Below are some of the ministries opportunities we offer.

  • Altar Guild

Altar Guild members prepare the church sanctuary for the celebration of Holy Eucharist, baptisms, weddings, memorial services/funerals, and other religious observances. The Guild cares for the altar linens and vessels used during services, the clergy vestments, and our beautiful altar hangings and assists with the many ways the church is prepared for any service.

  • Lectors (Readers)

The reading of Holy Scripture is an anchor of our liturgy.  At each service, Lectors share a lesson from the Hebrew Scriptures, a psalm, and a selection from the New Testament according to the Revised Common Lectionary. The Prayers of the People are also led by members from  the congregation.
