Lent is a season of penitence and preparation for Easter. The forty days of Lent begin on Ash Wednesday and extend through Holy Saturday—the Saturday immediately before Easter Sunday. Our observance of Lent will begin with two worship services with the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday, February 18, one at 12:00pm and a second at 7:00 pm.
